Maintenance Technician
Location: Alabaster, AL
Shift: 2^nd and 3^rd Shift
Pay: $24-$29 per hour + Shift Premium

Responsibilities:

• Assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
• Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals, including engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
• Servicing and maintaining equipment including boilers and steam system, high and low-pressure hydraulic systems, chillers, air compressors, pneumatic systems, compression and injection presses, etc.
• Communicating with the production team regarding repairs.
• Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
• Assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in requesting and maintaining parts for repair, replacement, and inventory.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

•  High School diploma/GED
• Minimum 2 years Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Requires one Two-year “Long certificate”, from an accredited college, with a minimum of 60 Semester Credit Hours, or 90 Quarter Credit Hours, in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Concepts, Analog Controls, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Pneumatics, Industrial Electrical, Industrial Electronics, Hydraulics, Welding and Fabrication, HVAC, PLC, or Plumbing.
• Good mechanical, electrical and/hydraulic troubleshooting skills required
• Good reading, listening, and communication skill
• Able to maintain a flexible schedule to work odd hours with little to no notice; some weekend work will be required.
