Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Systems Analyst / Systems Administrator to join a small, collaborative IT operations team for our client in the Electronics manufacturing industry. This role is primarily systems-focused, supporting infrastructure, security, and enterprise applications while also assisting end users as needed. The ideal candidate thinks analytically, takes ownership of systems, and is eager to learn and grow within a hands-on environment.
This position plays a key role in maintaining system stability, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening the organization’s security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and administer IT systems, infrastructure, and security environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues with a strong problem-solving mindset
- Apply industry best practices to ensure systems are scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing
- Install, configure, test, document, and support enterprise applications and systems
- Contribute to or lead IT initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, system reliability, and security
- Enforce IT policies, standards, and governance to ensure compliance and effective technology use
- Assist with security audits, documentation, and policy development as needed
- Utilize scripting and automation tools to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and IT team members to support business systems, including ERP environments
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- 2–5 years of experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure, or security-focused roles
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching)
- Experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with documentation, diagramming, and project management tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to learn, adapt to change, and stay current with emerging technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting IT audits or working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, or similar)
- Exposure to ERP systems, business intelligence (BI), or analytics tools
- Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, SQL, or automation platforms)
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, networking (e.g., CCNA), or cybersecurity certifications
