DESCRIPTION

Electrician
Location: Thunder Bay, ON
Pay: $41 per hour
Shift: Rotational Days to Nights (8am to 4pm and 4pm to 12am)

Full Time Permanent position + Great Benefits

Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties safely, display safety leadership, cultivate a zero-incident safety culture, and comply with all government and corporate safety requirements.
• Maintain all electrical equipment, PLC/HMI, power distribution, and related services within areas of expertise.
• Safely operate plant equipment including forklift, aerial work platform and skid steer.
• Responsible for doing preventive maintenance (breakdown calls and be able to perform troubleshooting) checks as required by preventive maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for following work orders processes in place, contacting vendors, ordering supplies and keeping accurate records.
• Provide quality workmanship and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a recognized electrical and/or instrumentation program with interprovincial Electrician License.
• Strong experience in instrumentation installation/troubleshooting is an asset
• Repair & troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation & control equipment & emission monitoring instrumentation.
• Install process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valves
• Calibrate a variety of instruments
• Read electrical blueprints and update them as necessary.
• Knowledge of application software including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Hands on experience with Allen Bradley PLC software such as RSView.
• SAP knowledge is an asset.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as required.
• Work at heights or off a platform.
• Unrestricted cross border mobility.
• Ability to be on-call as directed by the maintenance schedule.
