Electrician
Pay: $37.50 + Shift Premium
Shift: 2nd shift and 3rd shift available (2:30pm-10:30pm; 10:30pm-6am)
Location: Holland, MI
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, repair, rebuild and maintain electrical systems to provide power to machine tools, production equipment and lighting.
- Install and wire control panels, distribution centers, machine tool controls, switches, timing devices and lighting systems
- Diagnoses and programs PLCs.
- Machines diagnosis, malfunctions and difficulties.
- Disassembles, reworks, adjusts, or replaces electrical components of machines or equipment.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, machine manuals and electrical codes
- Make emergency repairs when necessary to avoid production delays.
- Performs layouts of installations.
- Maintain and improves knowledge and skill requirements in all electrical and required trade areas.
- Maintains user knowledge of tools, testing equipment, measuring instruments, conveyance and material handling equipment.
- Operate company vehicles, conveyance and material handling equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program certified by the U.S. Department of Labor.
- Must have a class III electrical license from the state of Michigan.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid powered industrial truck operator permit and a State of Michigan Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and guidance.
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and have an understanding of electrical concepts, practices and theory.
- Must have troubleshooting skills in AC/DC electrical control circuits, transformers, relay logic, LVDT’s and programmable logic controllers.
