Electro-Mechanical/PLC Programmer Technician
Location: Elk Grove, IL
Pay: $40 – $42.50 per hour
Shifts Available: 12 hour Day Shift (no rotation), 12 hour Night Shift (no rotation)
 

Full Time Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Regular inspections on all electrical equipment including motors, generators, control panels, systems, switches, lighting, circuits and circuit breakers; clean, maintain, adjust and lubricate equipment.
• Uses electrical test equipment, drawings, electrical blueprints, wiring and PLC schematic diagrams, to install new equipment and diagnose problems with inoperative equipment; modify and improve existing equipment; determine whether or not temporary continuation of operation will have any harmful effect on equipment; advises Team and Production Supervisor when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage; determine methods to minimize interruption of production
• Stop, start and adjust industrial oven gas and air
• Monitor, inspect and calibrate computer relay systems, analyze and make repairs.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with PLCs and HMI programming
• Experience with testing equipment used for troubleshooting systems
• Able to read electrical schematics, PLC programs
• Experience AC/DC equipment, motors, generators, control panels, switches, lighting circuit breakers, and relay systems, variable speed drives and programmable controllers.
• Knowledge of PLC networking with Automax (Reliance) system, Allen Bradley Processors using RSLogix 500 and 5000 software with linkages between systems.
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace portions of, or entirety of, specialized electromechanical systems in hydro, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment.
• Must have own tools
