We are currently assisting our client a global leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of automated equipment. This automation equipment is used in a variety of industries including but not limited to manufacturing, heavy industrial, logistics/distribution, sorting/handling, and many more. They are currently seeking to add an experienced Field Service Engineer to their staff.
Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Remote – Extensive travelling
Pay: $ 35- $45 per hour+ travelling expenses (expense reimbursement) + overtime + bonus + medical and dental + 401K Retirement plan + Life Insurance + paid time off + Long-term disability
Travel: Extensive Travel up to 80%-90% (domestically and internationally)
Main responsabilities:
- To oversee the commissioning, modification, troubleshooting, and support of equipment at customer locations or as required, ensuring the delivery of top-quality work.
- Commission automated controls for supplied or modified equipment promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and customers to design and conduct on-site acceptance test procedures.
- Create and review technical documentation for accuracy in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Serve as the technical liaison between the customer and Project Manager, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Provide remote technical support to customers promptly and professionally as assigned.
- Interpret circuit diagrams and layout drawings for installation and troubleshooting purposes.
- Develop and troubleshoot Ladder and STL PLC programs; handle EPROMs and Ghost images.
Qualifitcations:
- 5-7 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent electro/mechanical skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams.
- Proficiency in Siemens S7, Ladder and STL programs, as well as Allen Bradley (all lines).
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with remote software handling and basic database functionality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability in heavy lifting and material handling.
