DESCRIPTION

POSITIONS SUMMARY:

The licensed millwright will be responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance of all plant machinery.  This plant runs 24/7 and is a continuous process environment.  It is in the heavy industrial sector the company provides materials used in a variety of industries.

PAY:

$42.70 per hour + $2/hr night shift premium
+ sign on bonus
+ Quarterly and Discretionary bonuses

SHIFT:

12 hour rotating every 2 weeks between days and nights.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect, install, repair, replace, adjust all mechanical equipment in the plant.
Receive instructions, prints or work orders, covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done.
Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
Advise when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
Assemble or align gears, bearings and shafts, involving press, sliding and running fits, align pumps, motors, turbines and gear reducers.
Responsible for performing assigned maintenance work on large and small producing units.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic/Millwright – 433A) as recognized by the Ontario College of Trades
Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, with exposure to PM, Hydraulics, VF drives, PLC’s welding, crane work.
Strong communication and work ethic, ability to work in a team and with other trades.
Basic computer skills.
