DESCRIPTION

POSITION:    Prepress Operator

LOCATION:   Kitchener-Waterloo Region, ON

RATE:            $32.00-$38.00 per hour  

STATUS:        Full-time, Permanent

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced proficiency in Esko and Adobe Creative Cloud, with strong Microsoft Office and macOS skills.
• Thorough understanding of packaging prepress and print production workflows.
• Self-sufficient and team player with strong attention to detail and quality.

OVERVIEW:

• Prepare and finalize press-ready files using Esko and Adobe software, including colour management, imposition, proofing, 3D visualization, and RIP output for lithographic and flexographic printing.
• Utilize Esko workflow systems (Automation Engine, WebCenter) and perform CAD tasks such as die-line verification, rendering, and coater programming.
• Apply advanced colour management practices while adhering to established prepress and quality control standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support production efficiency, continuous improvement, and a safe, organized work environment.
