DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for the following excellent Tool and Die Maker opportunity for our client in the he Automotive industry for one of their locations in Taylor, MI.

Position: Tool and Die Maker

Location: Taylor, Michigan

Shift: First Shift (5am-1pm)

Pay Rate: $20-$25 per hour (Depending on experience) + Great Benefits

Duration: Full Time/Permanent

Main Responsabilitites:

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for tools, dies, prototypes, or models.
• Prepare templates, sketches, and work processes.
• Work with precision and close tolerances.
• Plan, construct, and test new die builds, as well as repair existing production dies and associated press tooling.
• Perform standard die development tasks, including tool machining, skilled fitting, assembly, adjustment, and timing.
• Conduct project tryouts, diagnose problems, and ensure final projects meet pre-established specifications (cad data or part print).
• Disassemble and repair or replace damaged components, testing repaired dies for proper operation.
• Operate various tool room equipment, such as mills, lathes, and grinders.

Qualifications:

• Possession of Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the trade. (Preferred)
• Completion of high school or equivalent education.
•  Understanding of tooling material characteristics.
•  Proficient in reading and interpreting measurement tools.
